Blackboard (aka: WebCT) Assessments Tool

In the Blackboard (aka: WebCT) Learning System, you can evaluate Students' performance just as you would in a classroom course. This includes delivering and grading assessments (e.g.: quizzes, exams, etc.) submitted by Students. To do this, you can use the Assessments Tool. The Assessments tool allows you to create an inventory of online quizzes, self tests, and surveys that are in the course. After Students submit their assessments, you can view and grade them. You can also keep a record of grades for each Student. The Assessment Manager allows instructors to view, grade, and manage quizzes, self tests, surveys submitted by Students. You can also generate statistics and reports about assessments.

All of the data on banner forms is available for reports you can create with discoverer. Support your department with on-line access to everything about the students, classes and faculty by term and subject. If you ever wanted to “Google” the things you need to know about the university discoverer is tool for you.
Discoverer Plus is the program that lets users/developers access the data base, providing features such as conditions/filters(What ifs) , sorts, totals, and calculations. This class will cover the use of this web-based Discoverer query tool, as well as a user friendly description of banner and the Oracle data base.
