Is globalization homogenizing the world? If it is, for many the process is uneven and rough. Whatever the benefits of globalization in some parts of the world, other parts are experiencing more frequent and more serious Violent conflict in this century than the previous one. For the Middle East and South Asia we may be passing through the crucial phase. In order to understand it and to see where we are heading we have to analyse how we got to where we are today.
