Alexander will speak about the future of youth engagement and mobilization in the context of the historical Millennial vote and its pivotal role in the 2008 and 2012 campaigns. Moreover, he will grapple with the significant political and generational challenges facing President Obama and young people in the next administration.
Heffner, a journalism innovator and an expert on Millennials, has covered politics and culture for various print, broadcast and Web-based outlets. He is a frequent lecturer on politics, youth and education, civics and citizenship, and new media. He is also co-author of A Documentary History of the United States.
