The Kensington Riots Project engaged Arab American teenagers in a site-specific experiential
art project that links the anti-Irish Catholic Kensington Riots of 1844 to contemporary nativism. Youth who deal daily with issues of nationality and belonging will use creative tools and a historical lens to grapple with the question “Who gets to be an American?”
