Event Description

Richard N. Juliani, Ph. D., University Research Award Recipient and professor in the Sociology department, will be the inaugural speaker in this new series. Dr. Juliani will focus on his own work of over 40 years on the Italian experience in Philadelphia. He will also discuss the difficulties not only in studying Italian Americans, but also in establishing the field of Italian American studies, especially in terms of what obstacles he encountered and what needs to be done in the future.
