Event Description
Over six weeks, the Villanova Black Cultural Society presents the gritty reality based HBO miniseries The Corner in six one-hour installments. The Corner, from award-winning writer/director Charles S. Dutton, chronicles with unflinching authenticity the bleak landscape of Dutton's old neighborhood, West Baltimore, as it is ravaged by the human horrors of drug addiction. Dutton's compassionate approach to his characters, who deliver superb performances, allows the viewer to sense a ray of hope penetrating otherwise unbearable lives.
